The medical start-up Medikit, jointly owned by Anton Gontarev, elder son of the former Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, was represented on November 19, 2018.
I warn you against participation in such a project as it can turn your life into a real disaster.
The aforesaid is not an overstatement because Anton Gontarev hasn’t worked a day in his life and the medical online-platform was presented to him as a gift from his mommy he had begged for during the last three years in order to be peer to his rich friends.
He considers the prospective clients of the start-up Medikit to be poor yokels and the civilized people just make him feel peevish, though.
Being supported by his mommy, Anton Gontarev has recently come out as a cofounder of the medical start-up Medikit that is supposed to provide instant medical consultation to its clients in the online mode and make it possible to call a doctor per internet.
Besides Anton Gontarev, there is another co-founder of the platform by name Svitlana Kyrychenko. She worked for ICU from 2008 till 2010. An interesting thing about her is her husband as Svitlana Kyrychenko is married to Taras Kyrychenko, Head of PraveksBank Executive Board. Apparently, the National Bank of Ukraine had no complaints about PraveksBank capital adequacy and liquidity for the reason of marital connections, despite the loss-making status of the bank.
Ruslan Kravets’, former Deputy Director of Strategy and Reformation Department of the National Bank of Ukraine, was assigned as Company’s Director.
The information about Valeriya Gontareva’s son occasionally emerged in the media so that Anton Gontarev could seem to be a rather promising businessman.
Anton was earlier engaged in rental housing and is a founder of two enterprises – LLC Europyvzbut and LLC Vanser Group. These companies provide a wide range of services from trading and growing agricultural products to producing packages, machinery and equipment for general use.
However, former NBU Head’s son Anton Gontarev completely depends on his mommy and his participation in the company is nothing more but a formal thing.
Dating back to 2013 when the Gontarevs were dividing their property in the process of getting divorced, Oleh Gontarev pointed out that Valeriya Oleksiivna had to take care of the elder son and his family after the divorce (the divorce didn’t happen). Oleh was more inclined to looking after the younger one Nikita.
As Oleh Gontarev, husband of the NBU Head, thought, his wife stopped sparing time for the family and in particular for him and their younger son Nikita. Even if she found the time, she mainly paid attention to Anton and his family, regardless of the fact that he lived apart from them.
On April 7, 2014 Valeriya asked his husband Oleh to have a conversation with Ihor Kononenko who was known as a gray eminence of the prospective President. At that time Valeriya and Oleg were going through hardships in their private life because of Oleh’s debts amounting to 1.8mln USD. The purpose of the conversation between Oleh and Ihor was to find a job for Anton at Poroshenko’s pre-election campaign headquarters (HQ) headed by Mr. Kononenko (the official head of the HQ was Vitalyi Koval’chuk).
Mrs. Gontareva asked her husband to get her son appointed as Kononenko’s assistant on a voluntary basis. For this plan to be accomplished, Oleh Gontarev had to highlight in the conversation with Mr. Kononenko that Anton was working with Poroshenko in agribusiness at that moment and just wanted to actively evolve professionally. Since he was not very busy he could take leaves during the day or he was ready to work on the weekends for free.
Therefore, one can conclude that Anton was simply idling at Poroshenko’s company and was hired there just for the record since he was just bothered and for that reason his mommy wanted to make him look like an extremely significant person in his own eyes in the first place.
“Anton wants some action. Maybe he will get acquainted with new people there. He has already grown up anyway so someone might find him useful” - she said in the e-mail to her husband.
Oleh Gontarev, as head of the family, replied that he would not deal with Anton’s employment and blamed Valeriya for wiping Anton’s ass all the time. He added up that their son had always been insolent and shameless and the head of the National Bank had always indulged him and despite all of that she stood up for him. Oleh said that their elder son Anton was ill-bred because of Valeriya so Oleg was anxious about the younger one Nikita for that reason, so apparently he decided to take care of him himself.
As regards Anton, Oleh said that Valeriya stuffed him with cash up to his ears but Anton sat idling and kept on nagging about starting something up.
Apparently, the conversation between the spouses affected the relationship of Valeriya Gontareva and her elder son since in November 2014 Anton joined the talk.
He tried to prove his mother in the correspondence that he still had shame and conscience and such a notion as upbringing he explained like instilling own rules and moral principles. He said that there were people who could be instilled with something but he was not one of them and brought himself up alone. Anton felt much more natural while swearing like a sailor rather than be a refined rascal he considered all the well-bred people to be.
‘Swearing Sailor’ Anton was offended by having no a prestige job the geunesse doree (her son of the NBU head considered himself to be one of) was supposed to get.
For instance, he thought that Petro Poroshenko had a hand in the appointment of his son Oleksii as People’s Deputy of Ukraine. Another rich friend of his known as lover of deadly racing by name Oleksandr Hordiyenko was appointed as Prosecutor of Solomyanskyi disctrict of Kyiv owing to his father, Head of the State Audit Service of Ukraine.
There were a lot of other geunesse doree friends who had received either businesses from their parents or high ranking positions at various companies. The son of the NBU Head was even interest in the position of Head of Production Unit at MHP (The Public Company Myronivsky Khlibprodukt) belonging to Yuriy Kosyuk, Poroshenko’s partner in the agribusiness.
It suggests an assumption that Anton obviously had no idea about the duties the head of the production unit was charged with. Moreover, he didn’t even know that there were any duties at all.
He didn’t agree with her mom’s statement that grownup off-springs had to arrange their live themselves. He said that it was much more important for him rather than having numerous cars and mansions.
By the way, according to Valeriya’s declaration for 2017, Anton Gontarev was the owner of two apartments of 56sq.m and 41sq.m in Kyiv, office facilities of 69sq.m, a garage of 15sq.m and a car Mercedes G55.
Anton didn’t want to hear his mom calling him a ‘privileged child’ arguing that even farmworkers, whom he considered to be ‘poor yokels’, built good houses for their kids and granted them with ‘a herd of cows for wedding’.
That is why Anton believed that his mother, Head of the NBU, had to learn how to ask the influential people to find a place for her son and found nothing shameful about it.
He was extremely impressed by a recent story about the Indian couple with the husband having rather rich parents. The climax of the story in Anton’s view was in the following: the young family would live in their parents’ mansion with no any necessity of work a day in their lives and the servants would wash them every time they’d need it.
Anton called those parents ‘inadequate’ who wanted their children to achieve something themselves.
As Anton couldn’t hold back his indignation because of his mother’s inactivity he mentioned the son of Rinat Ahmetov in the end, whom his father included to DTEK Supervisory Board after finishing the university.
However, Anton was not that ambitious and would be more than satisfied with a position of a civil servant at DMV (the State Vehicle Registration Center). He said that people ‘who worked there looked like stupid morons issuing registration certificates on motor vehicles and typing texts’. He also added that DMV staff had never heard of ‘The Little Golden Calf’ by Ilf and Petrov and were satisfied with the golden loaf (referring to Yanukovych).
In addition, he thought that the income they received was quite enough for buying luxurious watches and cars. Anton was sure that he ‘could easily do that kind of a job’.
So he was read to work like that, however, his employment was hardly possible there without a call from his mommy.
Are you still willing to be treated at Medikit? If yes I dare calling you dumb asses so rest in peace, dear friends.
